The Romanian Society of Bioinformatics is pleased to annouce that Prof. Roel Verhaak from The Jackson Laboratory will give a lecture on 21 June 4PM (Bucharest time) on „Delineating treatment response in glioma”.

A short abstract: „Glioma, the most common malignant brain tumor in adult patients, is an incurable disease with few treatment options. To understand the impact of evolution and treatment on glioma progression may help therapeutic efficacy and identify new targetable mechanisms. Through analysis of gliomas over time, at diagnosis and after recurrence, and using single cell approaches, we have defined the molecular footprints of treatment. We use our datasets as platforms for discovery as we prepare for new experiments to ultimately help improve outcomes for patients with glioma.”
